Salt Centre planned for Vernon’s north end

A B.C. based company has announced plans for new development in Vernon’s north end.

The Westmont Group, a family business based in Langley, says Salt Centre will be Vernon’s newest industrial complex.

It will be located at 3240 48th Avenue, current site of Coldstream Truck Parts.

“This project is conveniently located close to Highway 97 access and features a total of eight buildings spanning across 350,000 square feet in Vernon’s bustling industrial neighborhood,” the company’s announcement stated.

Westmont expects a variety of businesses will be able to make the centre their headquarters.

“With light industrial zoning, Wesmont’s Salt Centre units includes features like dock loading and grade level loading options.”

The company said Salt Centre is currently in the development phase with construction to start in 2023.

Leasing opportunities will begin in 2024, with select units available for sale.
