Gas prices drop three cents

The cost of fuel in Vernon has taken another downward turn, much to the delight of motorists.

The price tracking website GasBuddy shows that regular gasoline could be found at the Super Save station on 27th Street in Vernon for 176.4 per litre.

That represents a three-cent decrease over the past 24 hours.

Additionally, the other Super Save station and the Mobil station on 34th Street had their prices set at 178.4.

All other Vernon stations listed by GasBuddy had their prices set at 179.9/L.

The most affordable mid-grade fuel in Vernon was also at the Super Save on 32nd Street at 190.4 cents per litre. Midgrade fuel prices in Vernon topped out at 195.9.

The cheapest premium gasoline could also be found at Super Save for 197.4/L. The most expensive premium fuel in Vernon was listed at 203.9.

The Esso station on 32 Street had the most affordable price for diesel at 185.9 cents per litre. The price range for diesel is 19 cents, as the highest listed price in Vernon was 204.9/L.

The prices are based on GasBuddy‘s figures as of 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.
