Cumming to outline plans at news conference

Vernon’s mayor may be seeking a second term in office this fall.

Victor Cumming will hold a news conference outside City Hall Wednesday at 10 a.m. regarding a “fall civic election announcement,” according to an advisory sent to media by Jasmine Patrick

Cumming, a regional economist, has held the position since topping three other candidates in the 2018 vote.

He also ran in 2014 and finished second to incumbent mayor Akbal Mund in a five person race.
