Bike riders injured after hitting car’s back door

RCMP are appealing for witnesses and dash cam video after a crash that injured two occupants of a motorbike in Kelowna.

Last Wednesday at around 1:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a collision on Harvey Avenue near Kirschner Road.

“Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on Harvey Avenue and collided (t-bone) with the rear passenger door of a 2005 Grey Volkswagen Jetta. Both passengers of the motorcycle were launched off the bike and suffered significant injuries,” said Cst. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, including dash camera video, is being asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at (250) 762-3300.
