Flights between Kelowna and Cranbrook return

Jun 7, 2022 | 1:36 PM

A British Columbia-based airline is bringing back air service between Cranbrook and Kelowna.

Pacific Coastal Airlines will provide flights three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting Sept. 12, using a 19-passenger pressurized turboprop Beech 1900.

“We have received significant customer feedback requesting the return of this 55-minute non-stop flight,” said Johnathan Richardson, vice president of customer and commercial services with Pacific Coastal Airlines

Tristen Chernove, CEO of Elevate Airports Inc, said PCA connected the East Kootenay and Kelowna back in 2013, which was essential for health services, tourism and business development.

“Today’s announcement to resume this service is cause for great celebration,” said Chernove.

Sam Samaddar, director of Kelowna International Airport, agrees.

“We are so pleased to see this route with Pacific Coastal return between Kelowna and Cranbrook. It is important that we are able to once again provide these regional connections for B.C. residents,” stated Samaddar.

Tickets are now available with details at pacificcoastal.com, or by calling PCA’s call centre at 1-800-663- 2872.

Pacific Coastal Airlines currently flies to 18 airports in B.C.
