Pharmacies start providing free COVID-19 test kits to seniors
As of today, pharmacies around British Columbia are distributing rapid COVID-19 tests for residents aged 70 and over.
Everyone in that age group can pick up five tests free of charge, and further age groups will be added once supplies increase.
The province says more than 850,000 test kits have been provided to distributors to supply pharmacies that order the tests.
Health Minister Adrian Dix said people can pick up a testing kit on behalf of someone else, but they will be required to provide the name, date of birth and B.C. Services Card for the person.
