Cork ready to be popped on Vernon Wine Show

The lifting of the restrictions on restaurants and gatherings in B.C. this week has come just in time for a new event on Vernon’s social calender.

Dahl Group Events, Wings Vernon and the Italian Kitchen are presenting The Vernon Wine Show: A Wine and Culinary Caper Afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 20 which will feature the products of several wineries including the Meyer Family Vineyard, Gehringer Brothers, Mayhem Wines, Screaming Frenzy, Peak Cellars Winery, Play Estate Winery, Waterside Wine and Truck 59 Ciderhouse.

Katie Dahl, vice president of the Dahl Group and owners of Wings Vernon, says it’s time for people to get out and enjoy themselves again.

“Wine flies when you are having fun,” quipped Dahl on the upcoming event which the restaurant hopes to hold every year.

The wine show will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday in the Wings Vernon event room, and will include wine tastings, culinary treats and presentations.
