Another well-known restaurant chain is in the process of opening a new outlet in Vernon.

Construction is underway on a Cactus Club Cafe on Anderson Way in the former site of Temptasian restaurant which closed in August 2021. Signage on the building says ‘Future home of Cactus Club Cafe.’

Vernon Matters has reached out to the company for details on when it will open.

Cactus Club Cafe is a Canadian-owned chain of restaurants that originated in North Vancouver. It was founded in 1988 by two former Earls waiters, Richard Jaffray and Scott Morison.

The chain has since expanded to 31 locations throughout Canada, with outlets in B.C. (two in Kelowna), Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.

Popeyes Louisiana Chicken recently opened in Vernon on 27th Street and a Triple O’s, at the same site, is expected to start operating in February.
