Vernon gas prices on the rise

UPDATE Jan 5 4 p.m.

The price per litre continues to climb at many Vernon area gas stations.

GasBuddy reports that just one station, the Chevron on Okanagan Landing Rd, still has fuel listed at $1.32.9 per litre.

Centrex on Pleasant Valley Rd is selling gas at $1.37.9 per litre, but all other area stations have increased their prices to $1.39.9.

Gas prices continue to climb in Vernon.

The Mobil station on 34th St. and the Super Save on 32nd St. have now increased their fuel costs to $1.39.9 per litre.

Three stations, the Petro-Can on Middleton Way, the Chevron on Okanagan Landing Rd. and the Centex on Pleasant Valley Rd. have kept their fuel at $1.32.9 per litre.

The Safeway Station on 32nd St. now has the lowest price in Vernon at $1.29.9 per litre, followed by the Mobil on Anderson Way where the fuel is $1.31.4.

The cost to fuel up in Vernon is going up.

GasBuddy reports that as of 12:30 p.m. on January 5 the price of fuel rose to $1.39.9 per litre at the Esso on 32nd St., and at the Petro-Can and the Canadian Tire on 27th St.

The Chevron on Okanagan Landing Rd, the Petro-Can on Middleton Way and the Centex on Pleasant Valley Rd. all reported having fuel prices of $1.32.9 per litre.

GasBuddy notes that while the Mobil on Anderson Way had a price of $1.31.4, the cheapest gas could be found at the Safeway and Super Save stations on 32nd St. and at the Mobil on 34th St. where the price was $1.29.9.
