Two parks in Coldstream are getting upgrades which will have some impact on users over the next few weeks.

The District of Coldstream said work has started on the perimeter path around the Greater Vernon Athletic Park by Okanagan College.

The Regional District of North Okanagan is removing and replacing the entire path which will be closed to the public for about three to four weeks.

In Creekside Park, the district is undertaking an irrigation replacement project.

“At this time, the public may access the skate park, lacrosse box and playground areas. Due to safety concerns, the entire park will be closed to the public from Monday Sept. 27 to Monday Oct. 18 while work is completed,” said Trevor Seibel, chief administrative officer.

The gates will be locked, and signage will be posted at the accesses.
