Central Okanagan’s ‘GoByBike’ extended to two weeks this fall
GoByBike Week (formerly know as Bike to Work and School Week) is being doubled to two weeks in the Central Okanagan this fall.
The City of Kelowna is encouraging Central Okanagan residents to get their tires pumped up and get on their bikes from Sept. 27 through Oct. 10, and that those who ride the furthest will have a chance to win some prizes.
In a release, the City says the GoByBike week was expanded last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic to get people on their bicycles as they did their errands, met up with friends, and got some exercise.
Riders in this year’s GoByBike Week can register and then log their trips online and be entered into a contest that will see some prizes awarded to riders, including a grand prize of a bicycling adventure in France.
