Drugs, weapons seized in Salmon Arm arrest

A Salmon Arm man is facing a number of charges after being arrested with weapons and suspected drugs in his possession while unlawfully occupying a home.

At 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a residence on Highway 97B after being informed that someone had barricaded themselves inside a acant home.

Mounties arrived on the scene and located the man, who was unlawfully in the home. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with an existing probation order.

A search of the man resulted in the discovery and seizure of an imitation hand gun, bear spray, a knife and a collapsible baton.
