COVID-19 vaccination clinics coming to North Okanagan and Okanagan College campuses

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at L100, Centre for Learning (E building), 100 KLO Road, Kelowna

There is also a clinic running at Kelowna’s Trinity Hall, 1905 Springfield Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. That clinic will be in operations through to Tuesday, Sept. 7.

“We know the safety of our campuses increases when people are vaccinated,” said Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training, Anne Kang, in a release from Interior Health.

“These on-campus clinics make it easy and convenient to get the vaccine – make the choice to protect your community and play an active role in ensuring a safe return to school this fall.”

The clinics at the Okanagan campus locations will allow students, staff and faculty to walk in and get their COVID-19 vaccinations.

“With the start of the new semester approaching and as we bring our full learning community back together on campus, we’re strongly encouraging everyone to be vaccinated as soon as possible – for yourself and those around you,” said Neil Fassina, president of Okanagan College, in the release.

“As a College, following PHO and Interior Health guidance, we’ve been able to continue to deliver education and training safely all throughout the pandemic, and we recognize that vaccination is a vital layer of protection for us all this fall.”

Interior Health also notes that people can book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment online through the government’s Get Vaccinated website, by calling 1-833-838-2323, or by visiting a Service B.C. office.
