Township of Spallumcheen lifts evacuation alert

All the evacuation alerts previously in place within the Township of Spallumcheen have now been lifted.

In a release, the township said the decision to remove the final alert Wednesday was based on recommendations from the B.C. Wildfire Service.

The Spalumcheen Emergency Operation Centre remains operational from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and work to support the B.C. Wildfire Service is ongoing.
