Coldstream resident Marty Stein is now working for a new NHL team.
Stein announced on social media, he has accepted a Western Canada scouting positon with the Buffalo Sabres.
“I had the honour of working 25 years for the Detroit Red Wings [many of those with his friend and former Red Wings general manager Ken Holland of Vernon, now with the Edmonton Oilers]. In that time, I was a part of four Stanley Cups, two Calder Cups and had the pleasure of working with some of the most incredible people,” Stein posted.
Stein, a former physical education teacher with the Vernon School District, said he is excited to start a new adventure.
