Road repaving projects begin in Vernon

The City of Vernon is advising commuters that two road re-paving projects will be done during the nights over the next week.

Beginning Sunday, August 29, crews will be repaving 48th Ave. between 24th St. and Anderson Way. The work is expected to take five nights and be completed by the morning of Friday, September 3.

On Monday, August 30, work will begin on 34th St. between 25th Ave. and Okanagan Ave. This re-paving project is expected to take three nights and be complete by the morning of Thursday, September 2.

The work at both these sites will be done between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. in an attempt to create as little impact to motorists as possible.
