Maintenance shuts down part of Vernon street

Maintenance work on a sanitary sewer line will close part of a Vernon street in the early morning hours this week.

31^st Street will be closed between 48^th Avenue and 43^rd Avenue, starting today (Oct. 27), with the road expected to reopen Friday.

Crews will be flushing and conducting CCTV work on the sanitary trunk main, and will be in the area between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. each workday.

“The area will only be available to local traffic and the timelines could change if emergencies arise,” stated a city news release.

Every effort will be made to minimize disruption in the area. The city apologizes for any inconvenience this disruption may cause.
