Polson Park to be closed to traffic Tuesday

Vernon’s Polson Park will be closed to vehicle traffic Tuesday to allow for mitigation and maintenance work on saturated ground near the playground and spray park.

The wet ground has made it impossible for kids to use the playground and water park this summer.

High groundwater is blamed for the problem.

Traffic will not be allowed in the park between 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction.

Apart from vehicles, pedestrians are asked to stay away from the fenced off portion of the park, which remains closed for public safety.
