Just private events for now

Bulldog Barge generating plenty of interest

A new business venture in the Vernon area is generating a lot of attention on social media, but it’s not quite ready for the general public.

The Bulldog Barge is a floating bar and bistro that operates in the Vernon arm of Okanagan Lake, but operations manager Oscar Carreira said they are only doing private events at this point and hope to open to the general public by next summer.

“We’re keeping it open for private events for under 50 people, and I’m keeping it at that at the moment,” Carreira told Vernon Matters.

Carreira said he’s aware of all the interest in the barge.

“I’ve been getting a ton of phone calls. We’re all very excited about it,” he said.

The official name is the Bulldog Lake Okanagan Bistro, and is connected to the Bulldog Hotel at Silver Star Mountain Resort.
