B.C. companies unite to expand renewable energy options

Companies from Kelowna and Kamloops have joined forces to provide new solar energy options for residents.

Kelowna’s Krueger Electric and Riverside Energy of Kamloops are involved in the joint venture.

“The world is waking up to solar energy, a clean and renewable source of electricity and we are pleased to be part of expanding the availability of solar energy systems in the Okanagan,” said Peter Sherba, President of Krueger Electric.

Sherba added a growing number of customers are benefitting from solar energy as the costs of solar panels have dropped dramatically over the past 10 years.

“The payback to the customer starts the minute they flip the switch. Environmental degradation and increasing electricity costs are driving the demand for solar energy as our society is beginning to understand that renewable energy is attainable and more affordable than ever.”

“This moment in time is a pivotal point to join forces to affect real change for the benefit of the environment, sustainability and savings efficiencies,” said Greg Lambertus of Riverside Energy Systems. “We at Riverside Energy are proud to work with Krueger Electric and offer Okanagan consumers a way to protect our environment and power their homes and businesses with affordable, renewable energy. We are all in this together,” said Greg Lambertus of Riverside Energy Systems.”
