RCMP investigate suspicious death by Round Lake

The RCMP are investigating a suspicious death at a home near Round Lake in the North Okanagan.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit has been called in.

On July 30, shortly before 9:30 a.m., North Okanagan RCMP were called to a residence situated along Emery Louis Road after a body was found inside.

“Police believe that criminality was involved in the individual’s sudden death,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, BC RCMP Southeast District spokesperson. “RCMP do not believe there is any risk to public safety.”

The Vernon RCMP’s Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service are also involved in the probe.
