Officer in charge leaving Kelowna RCMP
The officer in charge of the Kelowna RCMP is leaving the detachment after three and a half years at the helm.
A news release from the RCMP says Superintendent Brent Mundle is moving to a position with the Southeast District Senior Management Team.
Mundle, who was in the news this week with a review of a controversial arrest, feels their team has accomplished a great deal for the city by implementing programs and initiatives to benefit the community and its citizens.
“I am thankful to the City of Kelowna not only for the opportunity to lead the RCMP in this community, but also to be welcomed as a part of it. I look forward to continuing to serve and support the city of Kelowna in my new role within the Southeast District,” said Mundle in the statement.
