Event helps charities ‘fill-up’ their funding

Local registered non-profits and charities have until the end of this month to apply for support from Fuel Good Day 2020.

The event is held every September by the Armstrong Regional Co-op where a minimum of five cents from every litre of fuel sold at their gas bars in Armstrong, Vernon and Salmon Arm are donated back to non-profit groups.

“The application process is open to all local registered non-profits and charities operating in our local trading area,” said Jason Keis, marketing and sales manager. “The Armstrong Regional Cooperative will select a different registered non-profit or charitable organization to receive funding from each of our gas bar locations in Armstrong, Salmon Arm and Vernon.”

The deadline to apply is June 30, 2020, and the chosen recipients will be revealed in July.
