Playgrounds to reopen June 1
The next phase in B.C.’s reopening plan will see playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment opening on Monday June 1 across the Okanagan.
This includes outdoor playgrounds located in municipal and regional parks as well as playgrounds at public schools.
“Once caution tape and temporary fencing have been removed, it will signify that playgrounds have been inspected and are now open for public use. Residents are asked to refrain from using these spaces until parks staff remove closed signs and caution tape,” said a news release from the City of Vernon.
The Polson Park spray park, outdoor pools and indoor recreation facilities will remain closed until further notice.
