May 6, 2020 | 10:21 AM

One occupant and a pet were able to escape a motorhome fire in the 1900 block of Union Road in Kelowna overnight.

The call came in around 2 a.m.

The first arriving officer reported flames coming through the roof of a 25’ long class A motorhome,” said platoon captain John Kelly. β€œThe fire was quickly knock down with no extension to the surround exposures.”

Kelly said a working smoke alarm helped save the resident who is now being cared for by Emergency Support Services.
