B.C. Covid update: 55 new cases; second death in IH
British Columbia has 55 new cases of COVID-19 since Monday, including four cases in the Interior Health region.
There have been two new deaths for a provincial total of 105. One of those deaths was in the Interior Health region, a man in his 70s who died on April 27 following an admission to hospital in early April.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, the province’s health officer, says most of the new cases are associated to outbreaks at two poultry processing plants in the Lower Mainland.
About 58 per cent of the 2,053 B.C. cases have fully recovered, she said.
