Vernon dentists clarify service levels during Covid outbreak

Apr 8, 2020 | 10:38 AM

This can be a tough time for anyone suffering from teeth-related issues.

Dentists are among the professionals that have had to close down their offices during the Covid pandemic, but they are still offering service in emergency situations.

Vernon area dentists posted the following message through the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce:

On behalf of the Vernon Dental Association, the dentists of Vernon and area are committed to helping our communities during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Due to necessary restrictions by the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., we are currently only able to treat emergency and essential care patients. If you have a dental emergency or are in pain, call your regular dental office. All dentists have instructions on how to contact them or an on-call dentist when you call their offices.

Do not go to the hospital with a dental emergency, as front-line care workers are busy with Covid-19.
