ORL to close all library branches

Mar 16, 2020 | 4:44 PM

You had better have a stash of good books at home.

The Okanagan Regional Library has announced the closure of all ORL branches effective Tuesday, March 17.

An ORL statement said the closures are “based on the direction and recommendation of the public health officials, and out of care and concern for the public, our customers and our staff.”

The ORL said:

  • All book drops will be closed at the end of open hours on Monday
  • Patrons with library materials currently out can continue to enjoy them

“Don’t worry; you won’t be charged fines or penalties. All of our online resources will still be available 24/7 and can be accessed remotely using your library pass.”
