As Prime Minister Trudeau remains in quarantine after his wife tested positive for COVID-19, he gave the country an update on the government’s plans.
The Canadian border will be closed to everyone who is not a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, or U.S. citizens.
Starting Wednesday, international flights will be restricted to landing in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal.
Flights from the U.S. and Mexico are not affected for now, however, all passengers coming to Canada will be checked by the airlines and if they show any sign of illness, they will not be allowed to board.
