Coldstream ratepayers are facing a proposed 3.5 per cent tax hike for 2020.
That’s what district staff members recommended going into Monday’s meeting.
If approved by council, it will mean an extra $56 for the average residential property ($636,000).
Council was scheduled to give the financial plan three readings at Monday’s meeting, but Mayor Jim Garlick saud it was deferred while council considers a $50,000 funding request from the Lavington Community Association to put a roof on the Jeffers Park ice rink in Lavington.
