Feature film to be shot in Lumby
A feature film in Lumby will give the village an economic boost.
C.J. Clayton, a line producer with Silk Road Productions, told council they’re planning to shoot “Cold Providence” in Lumby from mid-March to early April.
“The shooting dates are from March 16 to April 5,2020,” said Clayton in a letter to council. “The project would start prep around Feb 15 2020. The title of the film is “Cold Providence” and features two well-known actors from Los Angeles as well as a B.C. cast and crew of around 50.
Clayton says the cast and crew will be staying at the Twin Creeks Motel, with the production expected to bring several hundred thousand dollars to Lumby’s economy.
