Original Story:

A vehicle incident involving down power lines has closed Hwy. 97 north of Kelowna between Commonwealth Road and Beaver Lake Road.
According to the Kelowna RCMP, the highway is expected to be closed for another three hours before a partial opening is available.
The highway is not expected to be fully open for at least seven hours, according to the RCMP.
BC Hydro is on scene dealing with the down power lines.
A caller into the newsroom told VernonMatters traffic heading north towards Vernon is very backed up.
Northbound traffic is advised to take John Hindle Dr. and Southbound traffic is being directed to Glenmore Rd.
Motorists are advised to check Drive B.C for updates.
