Frosty freed: Vernon Teach and Learn grateful for support

He’s back!

After a debacle with the city’s bylaw department, Frosty the inflatable snowman is back in front of Vernon Teach and Learn.

Lynella and Trevor Henke, the store owners, say they are grateful for all the community support they have received.

“We are happy that Frosty went up today on the same post in the same place. We just have to pay for a permit of $150 on Jan. 1 which we will do,” said Lynella Henke.

The Henke family extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Brick for loaning them a cord cover to help get Frosty up faster.

“I was really touched, a big box store helping the little guy. So we have it back up and everyone’s talking about it. Everyone’s happy. There’s lots of people taking pictures of it today,” Henke said.

The inflatable snowman was down for five days as a result of the bylaw dispute.
