Give the Langley Rivermen credit for a great road game.
The third place place team from the Mainland Division, under coach Bobby Henderson, left Kal Tire Place with a 3-1 win over the Vernon Vipers Saturday night.
Langley native Brendan Budy led the River-workers with two goals while goalie Kristian Lyon made 19 saves with Connor Sleeth the only Viper to beat him.
The Vipers couldn’t keep the momentum going after coming off the high of a 2-1 win over Salmon Arm Friday before a near capacity crowd.
The announced attendance Saturday was 2.073.
The loss drops the Snakes to 14-11-1-1.
They next play Nov. 29 at home to the Surrey Eagles.
