Co-op gives ‘tanks’ for fundraiser support
It was a chance fill up the gas tank — and feel good about it.
The Armstrong Regional Co-op’s annual Fuel Good Day on Tuesday saw 10 cents of every litre of fuel bought at stations in Vernon, Armstrong and Salmon Arm, donated to local organizations.
The event raised $3,918 for Venture Training in Vernon, $2,268 for Pawprints Animal Rescue and $3,707 for the Shuswap Children’s Association.
“As a locally owned and operated business, we’re proud to give back and get behind local initiatives that are working to address the needs of our community,” Jason Keis, Marketing and Sales Manager of the Armstrong Regional Co-op. “Thank you to our members and customers for the support you’ve shown during Fuel Good Day. Once again, it’s amazing to see what we can accomplish when we all work together.”
