Kamloops woman $500,000 richer

It’s something that we all dream about and now a Kamloops woman has an extra $500,000 in her bank account after winning the Lotto 649 extra at the July 31 draw.

“My friend came over for breakfast and told me someone in Kamloops had won,” Doris Costain said. “I told her, jokingly, that it was me.

“When we went out shopping I checked the ticket and found out I hadn’t been joking. I had won!,” she said.

Costain, a retiree, purchased her ticket at the lottery kiosk in Aberdeen Mall.
