HomeSense moves closer to opening

Despite putting up a sign that says it will open August 13th, it may take a little longer for Vernon’s new HomeSense store to start welcoming customers.

“I can confirm that our new HomeSense store will be opening in Vernon, B.C. in late summer/early fall. An exact date will be announced closer to opening,” says Emily Lamb Public Relations Supervisor, HomeSense & Tri-Brand TJX Canada, in an email to Beach Radio News.

The site in north Vernon across from Best Buy remains under construction in what the city says is a 3 million dollar project.

Lamb says the stores typically employ 40 to 60 people, with applications now being taken on their website.
