Driver Draws Police To Mall Parking Lot

People were wondering what was going on outside Vernon’s Village Green Centre Sunday afternoon.

There were a number of police cars and ambulances in the parking lot at the Canadian Tire end just before 3 p.m.

“On May 12 front line officers responded to a suspected impaired driver that was located at that location,” says RCMP Constable Kelly Brett.

“The driver was taken into custody and released with a future court date and is facing possible charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle,” says Brett in an email to Beach Radio News.
