There is no word on the extent of their injuries.

Traffic along Highway 97 is now flowing in both directions.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a motor vehicle crash north of Vernon.

A GMC Terrain and Ford sedan were involved in a crash in the 7300 block of Highway 97, near Elmwood Road.

No official details as of yet, but reports indicate that two people were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Southbound traffic is not getting through, while northbound is down to single lane.

Earlier reports from dispatch said that it was a head on crash, but when Beach Radio News visited the site, the front of the GMC Terrain sustained damage and the back side of the sedan was smashed in.
