RBC Closing High-Profile Vernon Branch

After more than a century in downtown Vernon, RBC (formerly Royal Bank) has announced it will be closing the branch this fall.

A sign has been posted at the bank at 32nd Street and 30th Avenue, announcing the closure which is set to take effect in September.

Management is saying the downtown staff will be moved to the Polson Mall branch.

The building will be put up for sale.

The bank has been at that site for 114 years.
