Be Prepared for An Emergency
Emergency Preparedness Week is underway in B.C., where residents are urged to plan ahead to help protect loved ones and reduce stress during an emergency.
That includes making a plan, such as knowing the hazards in your area, compiling a kit with a grab and go bag, and building resiliency in their homes and communities.
“The best way to keep safe in the event of an emergency is to ensure your household is ready in advance,” says Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. “PreparedBC has the resources British Columbians need to get started on making plans that will help them cope through the initial stages of any emergency.”
