Fewer April Showers Bring…..Less May Flowers?
There weren’t many April showers in the Vernon area last month.
Environment Canada says it was drier than normal, with just 12.4 millimetres of rain or snow, less than half the normal amount of 27.9 mm.
“Even though temperatures were fairly close to normal, it was quite a bit drier than normal. In fact we only got about 44% of the normal precipitation in April,” says Meteorologist Bobby Sekhon.
The average mean temperature for the month was 8.4 degrees Celsius, which was pretty close to the normal 8.7.
