Vernon Out of Picture For Conference

The Interior Logging Association’s annual conference take place this week and is expected to be the biggest in two decades — but it won’t be in Vernon.

The industry likes to show off its big equipment and the new arena at Kal Tire Place has taken up too much space for the large outdoor display, says ILA general manager Wayne Lintott.

“Right now I would say no,” Lintott said when asked if Vernon had a chance to host the conference as it did for five years in a row.

Lintott said the conference will be held in Kamloops this year, as it was last year, and is likely to remain there for the foreseeable future.
