Salmon Arm Murder Suspect in Court

A man accused in a church shooting in Salmon Arm has made another court appearance.

25 year old Matrix Gathergood appeared by video and had his case put over to May 7 to allow time to consult with a lawyer, as he remains in custody.

Gathergood is facing a first degree murder charge after 78 year Gord Parmenter was killed after a shooting in the Church of Christ April 14th.

A second man, Paul Derkach, is recovering from being shot in the leg.

Gathergood is also charged with aggravated assault and disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
