Three Decade Old Murder Case Set For Trial
A trial will be held next year into a more than three decade old Vernon murder case.
58 year old Paramjit Singh Bogarh is accused of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder after the death of his wife, Saminder Bogarh, in on New Year’s Eve 1986.
Bogarh has chosen to be tried by a Supreme Court judge alone, with two weeks of voir dire hearings to begin next February, and a trial scheduled to start March 2, 2020, likely in Kelowna.
The charges facing Bogarh are listed as under sections 218 and 423, which are based on the Criminal Code system at the time of the alleged offences.
