Site Disclosed For BC Cannabis Store

Two more cannabis store applications will be before Vernon council at their meeting Monday.

One of them is for a BC Cannabis Store operated by the province.

It’s proposed site is on 58th Avenue between the Liquor Depot and Pennington’s in the Wal Mart shopping complex.

Kamloops is the only BC city to have a government-run pot store to date, which opened the day recreational use became legal Oct. 17, 2018.

Council has so far given support to 7 proposed pot shops which are now before the province for consideration.
