Upgrade Shuts Down Gas Pumps
Customers are not able to buy gas or diesel from Frank’s General Store in Cherryville for the next few weeks.
The store on Highway 6 is having new gas tanks and pumps installed which will take until April 25th.
“In March, a new concrete pad was laid behind the main store, and two new gas tanks were delivered,” says Lisa Schwartz, store owner. “On April 1, the front of the store was fenced off and construction began, including new pumps. A walkway area will be left so that customers can still access the store, which will remain open for business as usual.”
Schwartz calls it a “huge undertaking” for the store, with Armstrong Regional Co-op managing the upgrade, and the fuel supplied by Tempo.
