Former Vernon Vipers goalie Andrew Shortridge has signed a pro deal with the San Jose Sharks after a successful college career at Quinnipiac.
“The Eagle River, Alaska product just spent one year in Vipers colours (2015-16), but it was a big one starting 44 of 58 regular season games. He would post 19 wins, 2 shutouts, a goals against average of 3.15 and a save percentage of .915,” says a release from the Vipers congratulating the puck-stoppper.
Shortridge appeared in 26 games for Quinnipiac the next season, and saw action in 25 games in 2017-18.
He ended his college career with record numbers in goals against average (1.51) and save percentage (.940) this past year.
