Vernon Vipers are two wins away from their first trip to the BCHL Final for the Fred Page Cup since 2014.

A crowd of 2,065 was on hand at Kal Tire Place to see the Snakes dump the Wenatchee Wild 7-2 to take a 2-1 lead in the Interior Final.

Teddy Wooding led the offense with a goal and 3 assists, while Aidan Porter made 26 saves for the win in net.

Austin Park allowed 7 goals on just 20 shots in the Wild net.

The Vipers can take a 3-1 series lead on the defending league champs Wednesday night in game 4 in Vernon.

The series winner will take on the Prince George Spruce Kings in the league final after the Kings swept the Victoria Grizzlies with a 3-2 win in overtime in game 4 of the Coastal Final Tuesday.
