OKIB Members Go to the Polls Tomorrow

The current chief of the Okanagan Indian Band has some company on the ballot paper for tomorrow’s election.

Two others are running alongside Byron Louis, including Cindy Brewer and Dan Wilson.

Brewer and Wilson are also among the 24 people who are running for the ten council positions.

Approximately 1600 band members are eligible to take part in the voting which is taking place at Head of the Lake Hall on Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Louis has been elected chief four times.
